Our Admissions Process
We've designed our admissions process to be as smooth, quick, and stress-free as possible — because the hardest step is reaching out, and we don't want anything to slow you down after that.
Call or Submit an Inquiry
Reach out by phone at (866) 814-0126 or submit our online inquiry form. Our admissions team is available to answer questions with no pressure and complete confidentiality.
You can expect a warm, non-judgmental response from one of our trained admissions coordinators. We understand that reaching out takes courage, and we honor that.
Free Clinical Assessment
Our licensed clinicians conduct a comprehensive, confidential assessment to understand your history, clinical needs, and treatment goals.
The assessment covers substance use history, mental health history, prior treatment, medical needs, family dynamics, and personal goals. This information shapes your individualized treatment plan.
Insurance Verification
Our admissions team contacts your insurance carrier directly to verify benefits and determine your out-of-pocket costs before you begin.
We work with most major insurance providers including Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and more. We'll explain your benefits clearly and explore all available options.
Intake & Treatment Planning
You meet with our clinical team to complete intake paperwork, review your personalized treatment plan, and get oriented to the program.
Your treatment plan includes your level of care, assigned primary therapist, group schedule, medication management plan (if applicable), and discharge goals.
Begin Treatment
Your recovery journey begins with the full support of our multidisciplinary clinical team — therapy, groups, psychiatry, and case management working together for your wellness.
From day one, you'll be welcomed into our community. Treatment is structured yet personalized, ensuring every session moves you meaningfully toward your goals.
We Work with Most Major Insurance Providers
Our admissions team reviews the benefits information provided by your insurer and helps estimate potential out-of-pocket responsibility. Final coverage and claim decisions are made by your plan.
Call us regardless of your insurance situation. If Speranza cannot accept your plan, we can help connect you with a trusted treatment provider that may be a better fit. We can also discuss available self-pay options and referrals to state-funded resources.
Don't see your carrier? Call us — we likely accept it.
Admissions FAQ
How long does the admissions process take?
In many cases, we can complete the assessment and begin the insurance verification process on the same day you call. Most clients are able to start treatment within 24–72 hours of first contact.
What should I bring to intake?
A valid photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications (with dosages), and any prior treatment records you have available. Comfortable clothing for group sessions is also recommended.
Can I choose my level of care?
Our clinical team recommends the most appropriate level of care based on your assessment. However, we always collaborate with you in this decision and explain our clinical reasoning fully.
What if I don't have insurance?
We will work with you to explore all available payment options including self-pay rates, sliding-scale fees, and state-funded program referrals if appropriate. Cost should not be a barrier to getting help.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. All information shared during assessment and treatment is protected under HIPAA and federal confidentiality laws (42 CFR Part 2 for substance use). We cannot share your information without your written consent, with very limited exceptions.
Can family members be involved in the process?
With your permission, yes. Family involvement is often clinically beneficial, and we offer family therapy and family education sessions as part of our programs. We can also speak with family members who want to understand how to support a loved one through treatment.
What to Bring to Your First Day
Calling for a Loved One?
We understand how difficult it is to watch a family member or friend struggle with addiction or mental health. Our admissions team regularly speaks with concerned family members and can guide you through intervention options, what to say, and how to help someone accept treatment.
